The Master Course – now at its 5th edition – aims at training highly skilled professionals able to realize a creative and, above all, functional room project (Vision Concept) and to design, control and simulate a functional space by strictly coordinating all the operating steps.

Besides conveying all technical skill required to become an Interior Designer, the training pathway develops project sensibility and attention: i.e. sensibility in imagining spaces where people can live, work or have fun surrounded by comfort, positive emotions and sensorial incentives; and attention while designing spaces characterized by great expressivity that meet people’s needs, attitudes, and functional dynamics by paying particular attention to the environment and sustainability issues through a proper selection of materials and technologies. Program

The Master course framework is the area of the design methodology consisting in three Main Projects that have different objectives and increasing complexity.

Moreover, IED organizes several visits to industrial sites, field-related fairs, places of thought, cultural exhibitions and contributions of professionals concerning the developed projects.

Students can improve their knowledge of the learned methodological process by participating in workshops – project events shared by all Master courses – that do not deal with pure teaching subjects but that focus on cross-boarder topics, such as brand design and food design.

During the second year the students will become involved in what, to all intents and purposes, is a true work environment, simulating the work of a team in a professional design studio equipped with all the most innovative information technology tools. For the 2nd year of the course a Style Centre will commission a project from the Istituto Europeo di Design of Turin for the development of a concept car.
